Recently, manned missions for Moon, Mars and deep space exploration are in consideration as future space missions. Crews for such missions will be exposed to space radiations, which are attenuated by atomsphere and geomagnetic field on/around the Earth. Strategic radiation shielding is mandatory for the future missions. In this study, we have evaluated shielding materials from the aspects of two physical parameters by beam experiments and numerical simulation.
