We prototyped 3 × 3 microring resonator (MRR) crossbar array, which is our proposed photonic integrated circuit (PIC) to accelerate multiply-accumulate (MAC) operation for neural network. It was revealed that optical neural network (ONN) using this PIC can identify Iris dataset with the accuracy of 91 %.
