[10a-N102-2] Rare minerals found in meteorites and their formation processes

Some of the extraterrestrial minerals found in meteorites are attractive as materials. We believe that the understanding of their formation processes will stimulate in the field of material sciences. We have proposed several formation processes of extraterrestrial materials, which can be understood by considering the microgravity environment and significant properties and phenomena in nanoscale. Here, we introduce colloidal crystals of magnetite and carbyne crystals, one of the allotropes of carbon, as examples.
