We have developed an all-PM-fiber-based mode-locked laser for space borne optical frequency comb. By optimizing cavity configurations, self-start operation is successfully performed which has been hardly realized.
Now the self-staing mechanism is under investigation by observing temporal evolution of the self-starting processes.
