原子力発電所や再処理施設等で用いられる放射性希ガスモニタの校正を行うには放射能濃度が決定された放射能標準ガスが必要となる。この標準ガスの濃度の決定には長さの異なる複数の通気式比例計数管を用いたβ線計数手法が一般に用いられている。本研究では、ガスモニタでの測定対象核種の一つである⁴¹Arの放射能測定法として、プラスチックシンチレータを用いた方法を試みた。
