[10a-N306-11] First principles study of absorbance of triple layer graphene in a far-infrared and tera-Hz frequency region
Keywords:Graphene, Absorbance, tera-Hz
Far infrared (FIR) and tera-Hz light absorbances (As) of three-layered graphene (TLG) with several stacking structures, were theoretically calculated, using the first principles density functional method. The A of AAA stacking TLG was almost the same as that of mono layer graphene (MLG) though it has three Dirac cones. On the other hand, the A of ABA stacking TLG was about three times that of MLG. even though it has no DC. Results indicated that ABA stacking TLG is a promising FIR and THz light absorbing material, which is comparable to random stacking graphene having DCs.
