Lead zirconate titanate (PZT) is widely used as a ferroelectric material in electronic devices. From the viewpoint of environmental load reduction, however, we paid attention to K0.5Na0.5NbO3 (KNN) with good piezoelectric characteristics among non-lead materials.<br />In this study, spark plasma sintering (SPS) was used to improve the sinterability.<br />Especially, we focused on KNN with Li substitution, and investigated effects of a change of the K and Na ratio and substitutions of Cu and Zn on the ferroelectric properties.Furthermore, the effect of Cu and Zn on the electrical properties was investigated by crystal structure analysis using synchrotron X-ray and neutron diffractions.
