Nonlinear excitation of spin waves, called parametric pumping, has a larger wavenumber than conventional linear spin waves and is useful for future spintronics devices operating at short wavelengths, but there are few examples of verification for optimization of the excitation efficiency. In this study, we measured nonlinear spin waves using Brillouin light scattering spectroscopy to investigate the behavior of spin waves excited by parametric pumping.
