▲ [10a-S402-6] Fabrication and Osteointegration Mechanism of Nanorod Arrays with Different Compositions on Titanium
キーワード:nanorod arrays, osteointegration, chemical composition
Titanium and its alloys have been widely used for hard tissue implants due to their excellent biocompatibility and mechanical properties. However, it is difficult for titanium to form a bony bond with the host bone because of its biological inertia, so it needs to be modified to achieve superior osteointegration. In this research, in order to simulate the structure of demineralized collagen fibers formed during bone remodeling, a series of nanorod array coatings with different chemical compositions were prepared on the surface of titanium while planar coatings and porous coatings with identical chemical compositions were prepared as control groups. The structures and the properties of the coatings were characterized. By conducting in vitro and vivo experiments, the composition and structure effects on osteointegration and the osteointegration mechanism of the nanorod array coatings were discussed.
