[10p-N103-9] Simultaneous operation of photovoltaic power generation / electroluminescence of 3-terminal smart stack multi-junction solar cells

Recently, optical wireless power transmission, which has been researched for use in mobile objects and IoT devices, can receive optical signals in addition to power reception. In addition, it is considered that simultaneous operation of power transmission and bidirectional optical wireless communication can be realized by using a 3-terminal multi-junction solar cell for the light receiving element. In this study, we demonstrated that top cell: electroluminescence and bottom cell: photovoltaic power generation can be operated simultaneously using an n-common type GaAs // InGaAsP 3-terminal multi-junction solar cell manufactured by smart stack technology.
