Recently, we have developed a novel molecular alignment method termed scanning wave photopolymerization (SWaP). This technique allows for not only molecular alignment but also spontaneous formation of periodic polymer structures. However, the formation mechanism of the structures remains unclear. In this study, to elucidate the mechanism, we analyzed light diffraction behavior of the periodic structures obtained by SWaP under various photopolymerization conditions.
