[10p-N207-13] Coalescence of liposomes
Keywords:Liposome, size distribution, coalescence
We prepared liposomes with a diameter of 100 nm and investigated how the particle size of the liposomes changed with time using the nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA) method. As a result, it was found that the particle size was discrete and that the discrete size increased by a factor of √2. This characteristic particle size distribution is the same as that observed in the coalescence of nanobubbles, and can be interpreted as a result of the fact that liposomes of the same particle size tend to coalesce with each other.
