[10p-N307-8] Stimulated emission in soft X-ray excited luminescence of Eu:GGG
Keywords:soft X-ray emission, Stimulated emission depletion, scintillators
In order to investigate whether the strong luminescence of Eu:GGG in the soft X-ray (SX) region can be applied to the STED microscopy method in SX region, we studied the luminescence intensity change of Eu:GGG excited by soft X-rays. The luminescent intensity was varied by the intensity of the laser light matched to one of the emission wavelength of Eu3+ ions. The experiment was made using a self-made microfluorescence spectrometer combined with the BL11D beamline in Photon Factory. The obtained luminescent intensity from Eu3+ around 591 nm decreased with increasing the intensity of the laser light. This decrease in the SX luminescent intensity will be due to the stimulated emission depletion of the induced laser light.
