▼ [10p-N405-3] Silicon-based Integrated TE Mode Magneto-optical Isolator
Keywords:Silicon photonics, Magneto-optical devices, Optical isolator
Optical isolators are usually placed between the laser source and other devices to block reflected light from reaching the laser cavity while ensuring that the light propagate in the forward direction. At present, the integration of optical isolators is still a challenge, attracting high research interest. In this work, we present a novel TE mode magneto-optical isolator which has an ultranarrow structure of 1.27 μm × 1498 μm. We demonstrate that the device can work under a TE mode input with a maximum isolation ratio of 15 dB and an insertion loss of 5 dB at a wavelength of 1537.3 nm.
