the output of thermoelectric device depends on the temperature gradient in the device. Because of that, thermoelectric devices cannot generate power in a uniform temperature environment where the entire device is heated. In this study, we fabricated a metamaterial structure at one end of the thermoelectric conversion element that absorbs thermal radiation and generates heat, aiming to improve the power output of the thermoelectric conversion element under a uniform temperature environment.
