We introduce our approach for wavelength division multiplexing quantum repeater, which multiplexes light signals for quantum key distribution using the degree of freedom of wavelength. As a technology for realizing wavelength division multiplexing quantum repeater in the optical communication wavelength band, we discuss the current status and future development prospects of wavelength division multiplexing quantum entanglement light source in the optical communication wavelength band, wavelength division multiplexing quantum entanglement delivery using the entanglement source, and quantum wavelength conversion module to use an optical memory in the optical communication wavelength band.
