△ [11a-N321-9] Femtosecond-laser induced crystal growth in Al2O3-Lu2O3 glass fabricated by containerless melting method
Keywords:glass, crystallization, femtosecond laser
The local crystallization in glass can be successfully induced by the femtosecond laser irradiation. In Al2O3-R2O3 (R = Dy, Y) glass, we have confirmed the crystallized region with a width of several tens nanometer scale was self-assembled in the direction perpendicular to the laser polarization. In the present study, we aim to reveal the crystallization dynamics. We have confirmed the formation of periodic nanostructures consisting of localized crystallization regions in Al2O3-Lu2O3 glass fabricated by containerless melting method and evaluated the time scale of crystallization.
