The relationship between structural disorder of perovskite-type oxides containing ions with lone electron pairs such as Pb²⁺ and Bi³⁺ ions and their ferroelectric properties such as phase transition and piezoelectricity is discussed based on the electron charge density distributions visualized by synchrotron radiation powder X-ray diffraction.
