[11p-N323-1] [Highlight][INVITED] Bottom-up Synthesis and Characterizations of Graphene Nanoribbons and Graphene Quantum Dots

Akimitsu Narita1,2 (1.OIST, 2.MPIP)

Keywords:graphene nanoribbon, graphene quantum dot, bottom-up synthesis

Nanostructures of graphene, in particular quasi-zero-dimensional graphene quantum dots (GQDs) and quasi-one-dimensional graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) are attracting attentions as next-generation nanocarbon materials for their promising structure-dependent electronic and optical properties. Through the bottom-up molecular synthesis, atomically precise GQDs and GNRs have been obtained, demonstrating intriguing properties including strong red emission, magnetic properties, and topological electronics states, which were critically dependent on their precise chemical structures.
