[11p-S401-1] Measurement of hardened layer thickness by frequency filtering laser ultrasonics

Laser ultrasonic testing (laser UT) technology has been received much attention as a non-contact ultrasonic inspection. We have been developing a compact, low cost and high robust laser UT system using a speckle knife-edge detector (SKED). In this work, we will show the feasibility of measuring hardened layer thickness by a frequency filtering technique with the SKED laser UT.
