Keywords:Rare earth elements

Rare earth elements that show a sharp light emission band are most promising because they are strongly considered for applications such as LEDs and color displays that mix the three primary colors to obtain white light emission and accurate color reproduction of warm and cool colors. It is considered to be one of the light emitting materials. In this study, we attempt to produce a luminescent thin film that exhibits green fluorescence by using terbium, which is a rare earth element, as the sol-gel starting material TEOS, and investigate the effect of the sol-gel method on the luminescence characteristics of rare earth elements.
