Subphthalocyanines (SubPc), used as active layers in organic photovoltaic, have excellent extensibility. In this work, we synthesized a novel compound, (SubPc-oxypropynyl)3-SubPc, which consists of one SubPc core and three SubPcs introduced via ethynyl groups at the periphery, and evaluated its optical properties. The excitation energy transfer from the peripheral SubPc to the central SubPc occured in this molecule. Interestingly, the fluorescence emission wavelength changed depending on the polarity of the solvents.
