MgB2 thin films were prepared on Fe substrates using an EB deposition method, and post-annealed at 650°C for 1, 3 and 5 hours. The superconducting properties improved by 1-hour post-annealing, but deteriorated by 3- to 5-hours post-annealing. These results suggest that Fe diffused from the Fe substrate to the MgB2 thin film during the post-annealing at 650°C.
