[12a-S402-4] Detection of marker molecules expressed on cancer cell surfaces based on electrochemiluminescence measurements

Biomarker molecules expressed on cell surfaces were successfully detected by using a new method based on electrochemiluminescence (ECL) observation. Cancer cells on which target molecules, EpCAMs, were a few expressed were reacted with ECL probe-conjugated anti-EpCAM antibodies, and were captured to cup-shaped microelectrodes. The EpCAM molecules were detected by the irradiation of ECL with an application of electric voltage to the cup electrodes.
