Two-dimensional layered materials have gained attention. Cr2Ge2Te6 is known to show ferromagnetic even a monolayer limit. Moreover, this material has been considered for non-volatime phase-change random access memory. In this work, we present the amorphous phase of Cr2Ge2Te6. The structural evolution upon thermal annealing was investigated using XRD and XAS.
