[12p-N107-4] Theoretical study of enantiomer sorting by size dependent optical force on chiral molecules

Takao Horai1, Hajime Ishihara1,2 (1.Osaka Pref. Univ., 2.Osaka Univ.)

Keywords:optical force, chiral molecule

Chiral molecules are usually sorted by chemical methods. However, if a physical method is realized, it is expected to become a generalized method that does not require a catalyst. In this presentation, we theoretically discuss the sorting method of chiral molecules based on the optical force technique. The possibility of sorting will be examined by calculating optical forces on the model molecules, such as spirally stacked dye aggregates and nano-crystals of chiral molecules forming racemic mixtures.
