[12p-N202-6] Propagation mechanism of SERRS light through one dimensional hotspot along silver nanowire dimer junction
Keywords:SERS, plasmon, nanowire
Plasmonic nanoparticle dimer junctions, which distance is around 1 nm, are called hotspots (HSs) where molecular dipoles and plasmons electromagnetically interact to each other, realizing strong coupling systems. The strong coupling effectively modulates molecular resonance energy at HSs by several hundred meV. Thus, such places are expected platforms for novel photochemical reaction. However, the small volume of HSs makes such application difficult. In the case of nanowire dimers, the HSs are expected to be extended to 1000 micrometer (by 104 times). We report a mechanism of the propagation of SERRS light through the one-dimensional hotspots.
