Keywords:organic solar cells, charge recombination, fill factor

In polymer donor/polymer acceptor blend solar cells, there are few devices that can achieve a fill factor (FF) higher than 0.6. In addition, the reduction of FF by increasing the active layer is the bottleneck in the high performance. On the other hand, the dominant factors of FF have not been clarified, and the clear guideline for improving FF is required. In this study, the dominant factors of FF in polymer/polymer blend solar cells are discussed from the viewpoint of charge recombination with reference to a polymer/PCBM blend solar cells with high FF.
