Regarding the biological effects of electromagnetic fields (EMFs), social concerns raised about relationship of EMFs from power lines and childhood leukemia almost 40 years ago. Since then, the frequency bands used in the development of new technologies have been evaluated. The Railway Technical Research Institute has been working on the evaluation of the biological effects of EMFs in various frequency bands . In this symposium, we will introduce research on frequency response characteristics of neuros stimulation by EMFs, and trends in the evaluation of health risks of EMFs.
