The (Cu,C)Sr2Can-1CunO7-δ found by Zhingadlo et al. is difficult to compare with YBa2Cu3O7-δ (Y-123) because Cu and C are ordered to form a superstructure.
On the other hand, by removing the C from the M site of this sample, the crystal structure of the n=2 sample (Cu-1212) becomes close to that of Y-123, making it easier to compare.
The purpose of this study was to establish the synthesis conditions for good quality Cu-1212 and to evaluate its physical properties focusing on the doped state.
As a result, Cu-1212 was synthesized and showed Tc=76 K after heat treatment.
