It has been reported that the nanoporous carbon (NPC) synthesized from waste rice husk by alkali-activation has an extra excellent hydrogen storage ability at 77K and 12 MPa with great specific surface area and pore volume. In this study, the released amount of hydrogen after placed in the air for a certain time was evaluated at ambient conditions. As a result, the amount of hydrogen released after placed in the air for 2 min was 0.02-0.16×10-3 wt.
