An obvious problem with conventional wireless power transmission systems is that the transmittable range is too short. For example, in order to charge an automatic guided vehicle (AGV) in an automobile factory, the AGV must be stopped within a range of 2-4 cm to supply enough electric power. However, there are not many cases where it is possible to precisely stop an AGV that normally travels 10 to 100 meters or more by simply changing the route or adjusting the position. Therefore, we propose a new wireless power transmission method that can greatly expand the transmission range and transmit large amounts of power. This method is based on the principle of double resonance, which enables truly wireless convenience.
