△ [12p-S401-17] Proposal of a fluid pump using heat-driven elastic artificial cilia

Our group has proposed and verified a self-propelling action that can be driven in the transition boiling region. Using this effect, we have been studying artificial cilia with asymmetric joint structure. However, due to the axial structure, it is difficult to produce with microfluidics. Therefore, we reported last time that artificial cilia made with a nichrome wire heater vibrate by applying a voltage from the outside. In this report, we plan to propose and report a fluid pump using this artificial cilia together with detailed experimental results.
