Technology that uses low-grade energy is important for addressing global warming and security concerns, and devices that can be driven spontaneously without applying external force are being researched in various fields. In this report, we investigate and report a light-driven swimmer that uses asymmetric convection. As a result of irradiating the swimmer placed on the water with light and quantitatively determining the position, it was confirmed that the swimmer moves in the direction approximately perpendicular to the boundary of the asymmetric heat transfer part.
