A waveguide mode resonance filter is configured by integrating a sub-wavelength period grating on a transparent substrate, and usually requires a filter diameter of several hundred µm due to the narrowband characteristics of the sub-nm. In this study, we proposed and examined a two-dimensional grating structure with a double period grating as a narrow-band bandpass filter with a small diameter. Under the condition that a Gaussian beam with a diameter of 45 µm was an incident on a filter of 85 µm diameter, a transmission spectral with a maximum transmittance of 96% and an FWHM of 0.5 nm was confirmed by the Finite Difference Time Domain Method.
