We have developed a hyper-wide and high-definition fundus camera using near-infrared illumination that does not cause glare to patients. This fundus camera can observe a wide area of almost 180° from the center of the eye. The set of composite lenses we designed and fabricated is compatible with 25-megapixel class APS-H format image sensors. In addition, the near-infrared LED illumination with multiple wavelengths enables the acquisition of colorized images.
