Keywords:conductive polymer, electrochemical polymerization, self-doped

Recently, we have developed a novel fully soluble self-doped PEDOT (S-PEDOT) by chemical oxidative polymerization having a high electrical conductivity without secondary dopants. However, the chemical oxidative polymerization requires catalyst and oxidant, and purification process is complicated. In this study, the S-PEDOT was synthesized by facile electrochemical polymerization at various current densities. It was found that the electrical conductivity of the S-PEDOT increased with increasing the current density and the value attained 404 S/cm at 5 mA/cm2.
