The authors have developed a numerical model for Si nanoparticle synthesis by pulse-modulated induced thermal plasma (PMITP) and time-controlled feedstock feeding (TCFF) method. This model can simultaneously calculates the electromagnetic thermo-fluid analysis for PMITP, and the behavior of feedstock particles and nucleation and growth of nanoparticles. In this report, using this model, we investigated the intermittent injection of cooling gas (QG) and the injection phase against the coil current modulation of PMITP on the size distribution of the synthesized nanoparticles.
