Field emission (FE) from topological insulator (TI) has been reported only from nanoflake shaped electron sources with random crystal orientation. In this study, we report the results of FE experiments using a single TI emitter cut from a TI single crystal, with the application to point electron sources in mind. The TI used is BiSbTeSe₂ growth by the chemical vapor transport method.
