We have been investigating the light propagation in a distorted photonic crystal by 2D-FDTD method. In this study, we investigated the limits of adiabatic change in the distorted photonic crystal with rotating elliptical lattice points. We used the major/minor axis ratio and rotation rate of the ellipse of the lattice points as parameters.
