[13p-N321-15] Magneto-optical effect of ITO films as epsilon-near-zero materials
Keywords:epsilon near zero, ITO film, Magneto-optical effect
Topological photonics devices based on the topological photonics technology is progressing, however, realization of backscattering-immune waveguide using a chiral edge state is difficult due to the lack of magneto-optical (MO) materials which possess a large MO effect.
In this study, we focused on the possibility that MO effect was reinforced in the epsilon near zero (Epsilon-Near-Zero: ENZ) materials that a diagonal element of permittivity became zero. We have analyzed the ITO films which exhibit ENZ property, and confirmed that magneto-optical effect was reinforced with the decrease in the diagonal element of permittivity.
