[22p-P02-8] Effect of DMI on photomagnetic recording
Keywords:Jarosinski-Moriya interaction (DMI)
The large Jarosinski-Moriya interaction (DMI) at the hetero-interface consisting of a magnetic film and a heavy element film causes the spins to be misaligned, while the spins are more easily aligned at the hetero-interface in the case of Cu with small DMI. Therefore, we compared the effect of DMI on the formation of recording domains in magneto-optical recording for Pt and Cu substrates. If we consider that the transverse component of spins at the hetero-interface assists the torque to form magnetic domains, we can expect that magneto-optical recording becomes easier.
