Recently, π-conjugated organic light-emitting materials that exhibit thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) have been attracting attention as organic EL materials. We have synthesized various π-conjugated luminescent materials for application in organic thin-film solar cells and organic light-emitting devices. In this study, we report the synthesis and characterization of thiophene-fused benzothiadiazole derivatives, which can be applied to organic thin-film solar cells and OLEDs.
