[22p-P08-4] Development of pulsed force mode atomic force microscope for tissue mechanical measurement

We develpoed an atomic force microscope(AFM) equipped with an upright optical microscope to directly measure the mechanical properties of (ex vivo) thick tissue extracted from a living body. The so-called pulsed force technique allowed us to measure rheological properties of tissue dynamics over a wide range and with a high spatial resolution. We will present the fabrication of long AFM probe, which enables to measure living tissues with a large surface roughness.
