[22p-P08-9] Study on interaction between lipid membrane and protein molecule by quasi-elastic laser scattering method

In this study, in order to investigate the interaction between cell membrane and protein molecules, surface tension and surface viscosity of PIPES aqueous solution (buffer) on which a phospholipid monolayer was formed and in which protein molecule, ferritin, is dissolved was measured by using quasi-elastic laser scattering method. As a result, it was observed that protein molecules (ferritin) were adsorbed on the phospholipid monolayer on the PIPES solution and the surface tension decreased. In the future, we will change the experimental conditions to clarify the interaction between protein molecules and phospholipid monolayers and the relationship with endocytosis.
