[23a-P02-23] Development of novel synaptic device using organic semiconductor

With the improvement of performance of digital computers, artificial intelligence is being used in a variety of fields. However, power consumption of the artificial intelligence is much higher than human brain. Therefore, neuromorphic devices that imitate the functions of biological neuron and synapse in term of power consumption and efficiency and are implemented in integrated circuits is getting attention. In this study, we report a novel capacitive random access memory with a floating organic semiconductor layer, which can be used as an artificial synapse.
