[23p-P13-2] Investigation of growth mechanism of single-walled carbon nanotubes from catalyst using in situ XAFS: Comparison of Co and Fe

We performed in situ XAFS measurements for SWCNT growth from Co and Fe catalysts. During SWCNT growth, a Co catalyst became metallic, while a Fe catalyst behaved differently. Our results showed that growth mechanism are different between the two catalysts.
