[23p-P13-3] Synthesis of carbon nanotube and boron nitride nanotube heterostructures

One-dimensional van der Waals heterostructures, which are concentric composites of different nanotube materials, are expected to realize electronic and optical devices with various structures, and the synthesis of BNNTs around single-walled CNTs has been reported so far. However, it has been a challenge to synthesize CNTs on the outer layer of BNNTs in previous studies. In this study, we attempted to synthesize CNTs on BNNTs by chemical vapor deposition to realize a CNT-BNNT-CNT composite structure.
