[16a-P08-5] The Order Transition of the Optical Vortex-excited LPR modes of a Subshell Structure

Keywords:sub-shell structure, optical vortex-excited LPR, discrete dipole approximation method

In this study, interactions between an optical vortex beam and sub-shell (SS) nanostructures simulated by a discrete dipole approximation (DDA) method are described. The plasmonic characteristics of the SS structure, in which a part of the surface of dielectric nanoparticles is covered with metal cap, can be tuned by the core-shell ratio and the coverage condition. In addition, since a functional material such as a luminescence material or a non-linear optical material can be selected for the core, it can be said that the structure has high versatility. It was found that a topological charge and a polarization degree indicating the state of the optical vortex determine the resonance order, peak wavelength of the excited pseudo-plasmon resonance of SS structures. It was also found that under certain incident conditions, the order of resonance mode changesover time, such as from hexapole to quadru pole modes.
