Keywords:Localized surface plasmon resonance, Metal nano structure

In localized surface plasmon resonance, the resonance peak wavelength can be controlled by the size and shape of the metal nanoparticles. We have fabricated a random nanoparticles of silver (NHoM) structure on a mirrored substrate via a spacer layer, which can be used to control the plasmonic color. We report on the computational and experimental demonstration that this structure can achieve enhancement and sharpening of the resonance spectrum, enabling highly sensitive sensing with a large wavelength change range.
